Unfortunately it is up to the bank to decide that.
The best thing to do is call the bank and ask them if you pay up will they remove you from Chexsystems. If they say yes, get it in writing before you pay them.
Alot of people owe let’s say $20 or so and they pay off that bank and the bank won’t budge. They are still stuck in Chexsystems.
Here is the answer straight from Chexsystems’s website:
A reporting member is under no obligation to remove an accurate report of account mishandling due to payment of monies owed. However, the member is obligated to update the report with a paid in full or settled in full date when applicable.
